Lauren Lauren Currin, Development Director, works to engage Fuse donors and support programs that create a more progressive Washington state. In other words, she brings in the monies. Prior to joining the team at Fuse, she worked with RE Sources for Sustainable Communities and Communitywise Bellingham on water quality and climate change projects. Lauren had her first introduction to politics in 2012, managing a legislative campaign in Whatcom County's 42nd LD. Lauren is a Spokane native and a graduate of the University of Washington, where she earned a BS in Environmental Science and Resource Management. When she's not out running, walking, or otherwise traveling on foot through the streets of Seattle, she enjoys hiking, yoga, volunteering, and attending other non-profit leaders' fundraisers so they will come to hers. Jim Jim Dawson, Program Director, works to engage grassroots activists and leaders in our democracy to make sure it works the way it is supposed to.  He most recently worked for three and a half years as the Field Director of the Washington Toxics Coalition. He has directed the grassroots campaigns for groundbreaking victories, including passing the nation's best standards for toxic chemicals in kids' products and a first-in-the-nation ban on toxic flame retardants.  Jim has worked for the past 10 years for non-profit organizations on the state, national, and international level. In his spare time, he likes to chase his dog through the woods and mountains of the Northwest, pretend to be a carpenter, and learn how to grow, cook, and preserve yummy organic local foods.  He is proud to report that he has yet to die from botulism or get really sick from his forays into local eating.  He lives in Spokane, WA in a passive solar straw-bale home he designed and built.  Contact Jim: Email

Lori Lori Kessler, Bookkeeper & Operations Manager, does the administrative and financial support work that keeps Fuse running smoothly and making progressive change. She attended American University, focusing on International Studies, with a special interest in the Middle East and Islamic Studies. During college, she spent a semester in Cairo studying Arabic Culture and Language. Prior to joining Fuse, she worked with advocacy-focused nonprofits including the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the League of Women Voters of Washington, the latter of which she still volunteers for. When she's not fangirling over TV shows on Tumblr or sharing a plate of hashbrowns with her husband over weekend brunch, Lori loves to read, knit, and plan vegetarian meals with local foods purchased from the West Seattle farmers' market Contact Lori: Email

Erin Erin Louis, CPA, found it harder to come out as an accountant than it was to come out to her friends and family. After beginning her accounting career in 2009 at Christensen Consulting, LLC, the former professional Texas Hold' Em poker dealer has finally committed to her love of numbers and sound fiscal policy full time by starting her own business, Advocate Accounting, LLC. She has been a board member of Stonewall Youth as the treasurer as well as Capital City Pride and Budd Bay Rugby Football Club. Erin received a degree from Evergreen State College and is a licensed CPA. She is obsessed with Asian food and karaoke and still plays a good game of poker from time to time, but don't worry, she doesn't gamble when it comes to accounting. Contact Erin: Email

Rumeal Rumeal Lovell, Web Developer and Technology Manager, is excited to be managing Fuse's email and web properties as well as producing Fuse's web content. He's looking forward to bringing his admittedly nerdy passion for responsive web design, optimizing websites for mobile, and data analysis to the online team at Fuse. Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Rumeal moved to Washington in 2005. He graduated from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) in December 2013 with a degree in Management Information Systems. In addition to his work at Fuse, Rumeal manages a design firm that both creates and consults with clients on new responsive design techniques. In his free time, he watches lots of sports ball, including his hopeful rooting for future Super Bowl champion Atlanta Falcons, and can rattle off arbitrary sports trivia that normal people shouldn't know. He also enjoys reading books and attending seminars that teach about the latest trends in web and database's fun, he swears. Contact Rumeal: Email

Gavin Gavin MacPherson, Visual Design Specialist, strives to mediate a clear, unique, and effective voice that is supported by sound design. He is an Illustrator and Graphic Designer who began his formal studies in the applied arts at Pratt Art Institute where he developed a taste for digital mediums. Since life is never a straight line, he enlisted in the United States Navy as a Submariner. Upon realizing that being under the ocean for long periods of time is less fun then drawing pictures he separated from the Navy. He completed his degree in Communication and Design at the Art Institute of Seattle and has worked for Planned Parenthood, Woodland Park Zoo, and several other progressive groups. When he isn't creating for the greater good, he cherishes his time with his family cooking, dancing, and nerding-out to Sci-fi and Fantasy. Contact Gavin: Email

He and his family, including sons Cole and Desmond, live in Seattle. Contact Aaron: Email

Morgan Morgan Steele, Senior Political Organizer and Fuse's eternal optimist, hustles in the field to motivate volunteers, engage voters, and ensure more progressive wins. She graduated from Warren Wilson College in Asheville, NC in 2013. After growing up with a mother and two grandmothers that worked as nurses, her passion for health care access for all led her to complete more than 350 hours of community service and conduct an independent public health research project in the indigenous communities of Chile. Since college, her work has taken her around the United States and includes implementing the Affordable Care Act for Planned Parenthood, organizing for Hillary Clinton's campaign for president, and most recently, working on the winning Honest Elections Seattle campaign at Fuse. Morgan is a fluent Spanish speaker who miraculously survived being bit by a scorpion while walking barefoot (like the hippie she is) through the desert of La Paz on the Baja California peninsula in Mexico. When she's not wishing she had the ability to make happy hour snacks and wine appear out of thin air, Morgan can be found playing rugby for the Emerald City Mudhens, exploring the beautiful PNW wilderness, and dancing a funky jig.
