Please support SB 6381 to rein in mortgage abuses by requiring that mortgage brokers act in the financial interest of their clients. Some 20,000 families are facing the prospect of losing their homes in Washington State, often because they were not given complete information about their loans. Allowing a few bad apples to continue preying on consumers hurts everyone in the end. This is already required of other service professionals including real estate agents, accountants, and financial planners.
