Dear Mr. McKenna,

We, the undersigned citizens of Washington State, urge Attorney General McKenna to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the extent to which the Republican Candidate for Governor, Dino Rossi, was involved in the Building Industry Association of Washington’s campaign violations. As this is a high-profile case of critical importance to the inherent fairness in our democratic process, we believe that any conflicts of interest, or even the appearance of conflicts of interest, are an unacceptable breach of trust during these legal proceedings.
