Support equal protection under the law

I pledge to DECLINE TO SIGN REFERENDUM 71 PETITIONS.  I am opposed to discrimination and believe that all Washington families deserve equal protection under the law. This referendum seeks to repeal a law passed by the legislature that gives registered domestic partners many of the rights already enjoyed by legally married couples.

If Referendum 71 is qualified for the ballot by the opponents of civil rights for LGBT people, then we actually have to vote yes. We know this is confusing but this is because of how the question is phrased on the ballot if they get enough signatures to qualify. The question that would appear on the ballot is should the law be retained, not should it be repealed.
