Powerful oil and coal interests have had a stranglehold on our energy policy, demanding loopholes, bailouts, and giveaways from taxpayers. They've won concessions in the energy bill to preserve their profits and weaken the bill's ability to deliver on the full promise of clean energy jobs.

We need a stronger energy bill to fulfill Obama's vision of a clean energy economy. We need you to actively fight for a strong bill. Please make sure the Senate passes a strong clean energy bill that will:

• -Maximize clean energy jobs for America;

• -Take serious steps to cut global warming pollution as soon as possible;

• -Transition us away from the dirty fossil fuels of the past and towards the clean energy of the future.
