You Made EPA Rally a Big Success!

Last week was a historic week in the fight against global warming pollution. The rally on Thursday was a huge success! Thanks in no small part to your work we had thousands of people show their support for global warming solutions in and outside the EPA hearing.

The EPA heard our message loud and clear. The people of Washington State (and our friends from around the Northwest) are ready to fight for our planet and demand that the EPA enact strong rules to combat global warming.

The 60 day comment period ends on June 23rd so if you know anyone who hasn't weighed in you can forward this email with this link and help them make their voice heard at http://www.fusewashington.org/EPA

We all deserve a round of applause. We showed how serious we are about global warming and had a lot of fun at the same time. The media noticed too. Below are some of the best stories and pictures from the rally and hearing.

We can preserve access to affordable housing, protect vital programs, and rebuild our safety net! Stand with us: Register to attend today! Income will not be a barrier to participation on HHAD, there is no entrance fee. However, we do ask that you consider a donation to help the Housing Alliance cover the costs for the day and continue to fight to ensure that it is possible for working families to pay for housing and still have enough money for the basics like groceries and gas and childcare throughout the year. Phonebank to Promote Leadership

You'll be calling folks in key legislative districts, to influence and encourage lawmakers in Olympia to:

  • Protect our economic future by preventing further erosion of the things that residents value so much about our state: quality schools, affordable health care, a safety net for the most vulnerable, affordable housing, public safety, and a clean environment.
  • Adopt a balanced approach to closing the current budget shortfall that includes closing unfair tax loopholes and identifying new revenue sources to stabilize the funding for these programs in the short and long term.

We'll be making calls at the Fuse office in downtown Seattle. Pizza provided!
